What is Music Together?

Each week in Music Together® Mixed-Age Classes at Music Together with Mrs.Tara, babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and the grownups who love them^® gather for 45 minutes of fun-filled family music time. Your teacher will lead you and the other families in musical activities ranging from lullabies to full-on jam sessions (with child-friendly instruments, of course). It’s so much fun you won’t realize how much learning is taking place!

Will my child like this class and will we have fun?

Music Together is an all encompassing class that allows children to move, sing, play and learn.

Each class is more than just having fun. We make music....together with large and small motor development, linguistic development, learning basic music competence and, most important of all, the act of building an incredible bond between you and your child through music.

From creative play ideas, to your child smiling while seeing you 'act silly', to rediscovering your long-lost love of music, Music Together will be a part of your lives that you'll always remember. 

We start each class sitting on the ground singing our Hello Song. This routine song at the start of every class allows children & grownups to become comfortable in class each week. We then move along to a couple small movment songs before we get up to move around with a large movment song. Then we come to the floor for a few more songs using different musical props (egg shakers, rhythm sticks, scarves, drums, stretchy band, etc) to enhance the music making. We come to a highlight in class when we start our playalong. This is where we all get a chance to play and explore different instruments/props and we jam out with a fun song! Then we close out class with a lullaby and the Good Bye Song.

Each of the 9 collections contains a multitude of cultural songs, chants, finger plays and fun, get up and groove songs.
